Apprentice Recruitment
Campaign | Print | Animation
The AMRC Training Centre, part of the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, provides qualifications from advanced apprenticeship to postgraduate level. It combines the resources of a top Russell Group university with placements at leading industry partners, in a vocational "earn as you learn" approach.
Following an organisation-wide rebrand, there was a desire for something fresh – an upgrade on the previous campaign design.

Old campaign design (left) and my new design (right).

To connect with a youthful, diverse audience and reinforce the Centre's leadership in engineering education, I introduced the University's primary purple accent colour. This visually strengthens the link to the University while complementing the AMRC's existing palette.
The slash – a key element of the AMRC visual brand – was repurposed to a repeating motif that nodded to the shape of the Training Centre building.
Imagery was chosen to reflect a diverse and youthful audience, actively engaged in the AMRC's advanced engineering facilities.

This visual treatment was rolled out to a wide range of print and digital marketing materials, including socials, outreach kits and animations.
